June 2019 – Sarah S. AuMiller, a partner with the Law Offices of Hoyt & Bryan, was recognized as a Board Certified Specialist in Elder Law. Certification is The Florida Bar’s highest level of evaluation of the competency and experience of attorneys in the 24 areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida.
Sarah earned her undergraduate degree from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, New Jersey and her law degree from Florida A&M University, College of Law. Sarah practices in the areas of Family Wealth and Legacy Counseling, including Estate Planning, Long-Term Care Planning (including Medicaid Benefits and Veterans Benefits), Special Needs Planning, Guardianship and Guardian Advocacy, and Probate and Trust Administration.
To become board certified, Sarah was required to demonstrate substantial involvement in the practice of Elder Law. Additionally, she received the recommendation of her peers, as well as successfully completed a written exam that demonstrated superior competency in the field. Sarah joins an elite group of less than 100 Florida attorneys that are certified in Elder Law and currently, only 7% of all attorneys in Florida, in all practice areas combined, are board certified.
